Snowmobiling & Late Winter Warm-Up

What’s that big bright light in the sky during the day?

Astronomers call it the sun, and with a little luck, we should be starting to see more of it over the next few weeks.

Temperatures in the U.P. topped 40 degrees and even approached 50 in some areas.

And as welcome as a nice pre–spring warm spell is to most, snowmobilers may not be so excited.

Gene Redlich of Barron, Wisconsin says with last week’s snow, the season was finally beginning to look good, but now he says you can throw that out the window with the snow already beginning to melt.

Despite the high temperatures, trail conditions outside of town remain in excellent condition…for now.
