ROTC Winter Survival Training

Over the next 24 hours, Northern Michigan University ROTC cadets will be put through a series of training maneuvers.

It’s their annual winter survival training exercise.

The event gives the members of the Wildcat Battalion a chance to test their mettle against the winter climate of the Upper Peninsula.

Capt. Benjamin Hormann, who is an associate professor of military science, and Cadet Samuel Zyburt say although the event does provide for some friendly competition within the ranks, this training also offers them a chance to work on team bonding.

Tomorrow night on ABC 10 News Now, we’ll have a look back at the exercise once it’s been completed.
