HOUGHTON, Mich. – All seats at this weekend’s Michigan Tech-St. Cloud State hockey series are available for $10 (adults) or $5 (kids) as part of the Sell Out St. Cloud promotion. The Tech athletic department is lowering ticket prices for the weekend to sell out the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena for a crucial series between two teams still in the race for home ice in the WCHA playoffs.

Both teams possess a 13-15-4 overall record. Michigan Tech is 10-10-4 in league play with 24 points for seventh place in the WCHA standings. St. Cloud is eighth at 10-11-3 in conference action with 23 points. With four games to play, both teams still have a chance to finish in the top six and earn a home playoff series to start the postseason.

Games are at 7:07 p.m. both Friday (Feb. 24) and Saturday (Feb. 25). Tickets for either game must be purchased by 9 p.m. on Thursday (Feb. 23) to receive the discount, which is 41 percent off regular adult rates ($17) and 50 percent off youth rates ($10). Michigan Tech students who are not one of the first 750 to receive their free Experience Tech ticket, can purchase at the youth rate of $5 as well.

In addition to the ticket discounts, there will be promotions on concessions as well. Friday is Greek Night. Those students wearing their letters will receive a free pretzel and soft drink. On Saturday, the first 1,500 fans at the game will receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a hot dog or ice cream courtesy of Keweenaw Automotive.

University Images, located inside the SDC, is also boosting the promotion by offering all basketball and hockey apparel 25 percent off Thursday through Saturday.
