National Margarita Day
It may still be winter, but across the country, February 22nd is National Margarita Day.
The margarita is often paired with beach vacations and relaxing happy hours.
The tequila–heavy cocktail is commonly mixed with orange–flavored liqueur, lime juice and optional salt around the rim.
Pat Beyer, general manager of Ishpeming’s Jasper Ridge Brewery, says the margarita is all about variety — you can get it shaken with ice, on the rocks, straight up, or blended into a smoothie–style drink.
At the Jasper Ridge Brewery in Ishpeming, National Margarita Day coincides with the Wednesday special — margaritas for $1.99 each.
