Medical Risks of Snow Removal

Warmer weather means the snow being dumped on the U–P is wet and heavy.

And just like any other heavy object, moving snow means using caution.

The U–P has had plenty of snow to move in the past couple of weeks.

Light fluffy snow is fairly easy to get rid of.

But with warmer temperatures, moving snow is a little like moving concrete.

Moving snow at a slower pace may help protect you from putting too much strain on your heart and save you from potential complications.

If you start to feel lightheaded or if have pain in your chest, stop shoveling and immediately seek medical attention.
