M-28 Hit-and-Run Update
An Alger County man remains in fair condition after being run over on M–28.
46–year–old Timothy Hardwick of Christmas is still being treated at Marquette General Health System.
He was hit by a truck on January 2nd while walking on M–28 in Chocolay Township near Timber Lane.
Hardwick was walking in the eastbound lane.
He was hit by an eastbound pickup truck driven by 46–year–old Robert Collins of Ishpeming.
Collins was not hurt.
Police say Hardwick, the pedestrian, had been drinking excessively before the accident.
Visibility was also very poor at the time because of weather conditions.
