A Minnesota man was hospitalized last night after a snowmobile accident in Ontonagon County.
State Police from the Negaunee Post say it took place at about 5 pm in Bruce Crossing.
They say 34-year-old Robert Holtberg of Belle Plaine, Minnesota was riding along Trail #8 near the intersection of Trail #3.
He stopped at a bridge to look around, and when he did, another rider who was not watching the trail could not stop in time to avoid hitting his sled.
That second sledder, 35-year-old Toby Halliday of Waconia, Minnesota, was believed at the scene to have suffered a broken leg.
He was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital for treatment.
There’s no word on how he’s doing.
