Fatal Snowmoblie Accident
A Wisconsin man was killed Thursday evening in a snowmobile accident in Watersmeet Township.
45 year old Patrick B. Sheahan of Land “O” Lakes Wisconsin was killed after the snowmobile he was riding struck a tree.
The crash happened shortly after 7 P.M.;when traveling south bound through a channel on Cisco Lake Sheahan struck the tree.
Speed and poor visibility are believed to have been factors in the accident.
The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Lac Vieux Dessert Tribal Police Department, Watersmeet First Responders, Vilas County Sheriff’s Office/Dispatch, Conover Ambulance, Land “O” Lakes First Responders/ Ambulance and the owner of the Cisco Lake Resort.
