Mariucci donates Packers tickets

Steve Mariucci, NFL Network contributor and analyst has donated 2 tickets to Sunday’s game between the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers to Beacon House. The tickets will be auctioned off on-line to

raise funds for handicap access guest room improvements. The tickets are

for the 4:30 pm (EST) game on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

Mariucci contacted Beacon House’s director of development, Mary Dowling,

with an update on the status of celebrities he has invited to the 2012

Upper Peninsula Celebrity Golf Classic to be held in June. As they were

discussing the event and Beacon House’s current needs, he made the

decision to send the playoff tickets and help with improvements that

Beacon House was hoping to make in the near future.

“It’s important for Beacon House to be able to maintain these rooms for

its guests. These are really great tickets in section 116, row 44, seats

9 & 10,” Mariucci informed. “It’s my hope that the auction of these

tickets will bring Beacon House the funds to help with the upgrades

needed to make several rooms even more accessible for their physically

disabled guests.”

The first set of tickets will be auctioned off on-line, with participants

emailing their bids to NFL@upbeaconhouse.org. Beacon House will then

update the website twice a day between Tuesday at 8 am (EST) until Friday

at 12 noon (EST) when bidding will stop and the tickets will be awarded

to the highest bidder. Participants may also call 906-225-7100 at anytime

between 8 am and 5 pm for the latest bidding amount.

If the Packers defeat the Giants on Sunday, an additional set of tickets

will be auctioned off for the NFC Championship Game at Lambeau against

the winner of Saturday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints.
