Fire Damages Residential Care Facility
All residents of the Sundara House escaped without injury, but the residential care facility at 401 Lincoln Avenue was damaged.
Firefighters were called to the home just after 11 am Sunday to find smoke and fire coming from the southeast corner of the roof. Crews made entry to a 2nd floor bathroom and extinguished the fire.
The home had light to moderate damage to an upstairs bathroom. The Marquette Fire Department was assisted by: Marquette Police, MGH 141 ambulance, Marquette Township Fire Department, SEMCO Gas, and Marquette BL&P.
The incident is under investigation.
