State Police in Ontonagon Moving
Michigan State Police in Ontonagon are packing up and moving to a new home tomorrow.
Until now, the Ontonagon Resident Trooper Office has been at the marina.
But tomorrow, the office is moving to the Michigan DHS and Secretary of State building on South Seventh Street.
The office’s phone number is also changing to 884–8401.
Many residents think of the Resident Trooper Offices as detachments, but State Police at the Wakefield Post say that’s not what they are.
A trooper who lives in Ontonagon can use the office for interviews, phone calls and report writing as needed.
