Messy Winter Weather
It’s far from a winter wonderland outside — in fact, you could even say the weather is frightful!
High winds and blowing snow has made for some extreme winter conditions today.
Jane Marie Wix at the National Weather Service station in Negaunee says if you were wishing for a white Christmas, you may have to settle for a cold, white New Year’s instead.
She says the wintry mess should last through the remainder of the year.
As of earlier today, Wix says the weather station had only seen 19.1 inches of snow so far this winter.
The average for this point in the winter there is 35 inches, with just under 16 inches total snowfall for the month of December.
