Marquette Salvation Army Christmas Dinner

If you still haven’t made your Christmas dinner plans, have no fear.

There’s a place in Marquette County with all the good food, good company and holiday cheer you can handle.

Last year, more than 500 U.P. residents took part in the Kiwanis Community Christmas Dinner.

The annual event is held at the Salvation Army each year and wouldn’t be possible without widespread support from throughout the community.

Fred Anderson of the Superiorland Kiwanis says an anonymous donor came up with $400 to pay for the turkeys.

Through the last 22 years, many residents have embraced the event and made it a holiday tradition.

Everyone in the community is invited to attend the dinner on Christmas Day.

Reservations aren’t needed — just stop by the Salvation Army anytime between noon and 3 pm.

If you’re unable to make it but don’t want to miss out on the food, you can have your meal delivered by calling 225–9423.
