Button Up The U.P. Collection Wraps Up

The ABC 10 “Button Up the U.P.” coat drive is zipping up.

Today was the last day to drop off coats to help out some of the area’s needy families who are in need of winter coats.

“Button Up The U.P.” is a coat drive that the Radio Results Network and the Mining Journal are helping us promote.

Coats were collected at Marquette Mountain, where donations were rewarded with a $10 discount on the cost of a lift ticket.

The next phase of “Button Up” continues next week.

That’s when the St. Vincent de Paul society will distribute the coats to needy families.
