Ironwood Accident Witness Comes Forward
The driver of the red Jeep that witnessed a fatal accident we told you about yesterday has come forward.
Ironwood Public Safety says it happened shortly after 1:30 Central time yesterday afternoon.
A vehicle traveling on Suffolk Street hit 77-year-old Francis “Ronnie” Kilponen.
Kilponen was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin but died yesterday.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police.
The driver of a red Jeep that was at the scene has also come forward; however, the accident remains under investigation.
