Car vs. Pedestrian accident in Houghton
The Houghton Police Department is investigating a personal injury accident which occurred at approximately 7:30 am on December 15, 2011 on Sharon Avenue near Military in Houghton.
A vehicle, driven by an 80 year old male from Houghton, was traveling East on Sharon Avenue when it struck a 31 year old female pedestrian from Houghton who was running on the shoulder of the roadway.
The female pedestrian sustained injuries and was transported by Mercy Ambulance to Portage Health System. The Houghton Police Department was assisted on scene by Michigan Tech Public Safety, and the Michigan State Police.
