One-Car Accident in Humboldt
A mechanical problem led to a one-vehicle accident this afternoon in Marquette County.
It happened at 2:40 on US–41 in Humboldt Township, about a mile west of County Road FX.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department says a 2004 Ford van driven by 33-year-old Mark Castor of Marquette was traveling westbound on US–41 when the van started to pull to the left.
Castor was not able to regain control of the vehicle.
The van crossed the center line, went off of the left side of the road and came to rest in a ditch.
Castor was wearing a seatbelt.
He complained of back pain and was taken to Bell Hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
Bell EMS, the Champion Township Fire Department/First Responders and Sheriff’s Department Rescue Unit 131 helped out at the scene.
