Ski & Snowboard Safety at Marquette Mountain
An area hospital and a national department store chain are teaming up to bring local snowboarders and skiers safety lessons and equipment.
The Marquette General Women and Children Program will be receiving a check from Kohl’s on Saturday at the Marquette Mountain ski hill.
Cindy Ampe of MGHS says the check will help pay for a presentation of safe ski and snowboard practices, as well as help provide kids with proper helmets for skiing and snowboarding.
The event runs from 10am to noon tomorrow.
Along with getting a new helmet, one lucky family will win a ride on the snow groomer.
