Fundraiser at KI Sawyer

A community effort is in the works to improve conditions at KI Sawyer with a special focus on the area’s youth.

Tonight the Salvation Army hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to west branch township for the re–open and operation of the KI Sawyer sled hill.

County officials were on hand and State Senator Tom Casperson was the evenings special guest.

Fundraising organizers hope to have the sled hill up and running this winter.
