After a difficult two-week stretch, the Northern Michigan volleyball team returns home to Vandament Arena for the remainder of the regular season.

This weekend the Cats host a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference north division foes. Our backs are against the wall now after a difficult weekend, so we have to come out and take care of business the next two weeks at home, said head coach Dominic Yoder.

NMU opens the weekend hosting Lake Superior State at 7 p.m. Friday (Oct. 28). The Lakers enter the match in sixth place in the GLIAC north
division, three spots behind the Cats. LSSU has dropped three of its
last four matches. The Lakers are led by junior outside hitter Nikki
Stratelak. She has a team best 146 kills and averages 2.43 kills per set.

The Cats swept the Lakers back on Sept. 23 in Sault Ste. Marie. NMU
holds the all-time series record 68-16-1. The Cats close out the weekend against Northwood at 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 29). The Timberwolves enter the weekend having swept a pair of matches
one week ago. Northwood currently sits in fourth place of the GLIAC north division, just one spot behind NMU. The Timberwolves are led by senior middle blocker Sara Skornia. She has a team best 148 kills and averages 2.51 kills per set.

NMU swept Northwood back on Sept. 24 in Midland. The Cats lead the
head-to-head series 34-23.
