Bootjack Road Break-In Suspects Caught

Two suspects believed to be involved in a three–state crime spree — including seven break–ins in the Bootjack Road area of Houghton County — are now in custody.

State Police from the Calumet Post say a 19–year–old male from Minnesota and an 18–year–old male from Lake Linden were arrested in Carlton County, Minnesota.

Police recovered stolen guns, electronics, safes, and cash from the suspects.

The men are said to be responsible for more than 20 burglaries across Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Authorities expect that number to climb as the investigation continues.

The names of the suspects have not been released pending their appearance in court.
