Finlandia Students get Grant

ANOTHER SCHOOL IN THE COPPER COUNTRY IS ALSO RECEIVING FUNDING.

THE FINLANDIA UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF BUSINESS IS THE RECIPIENT OF A 24–HUNDRED DOLLAR GRANT.

THE MONEY COMES FROM THE MICHIGAN CAMPUS COMPACT.

ITS FOR A PROPOSAL WRITTEN BY THE COLLEGE CALLED “INCREASING BUSINESS STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY AFFAIRS.”

THE GRANT WILL BE USED TO ENGAGE FOUR STUDENT TEAMS IN SERVICE ACTIVITIES AT THREE LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING THE COPPER COUNTRY COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER, THE HANCOCK BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION, AND FINLANDIA’S JUTILA CENTER.

THE GRANT REQUIRED THE UNIVERSITY TO MATCH THE FUNDS AWARDED.
