Several thousand people in the U.P. are still without power after Thursday’s storm.
UPPCO says they have more than 4,300 customers in and around Ishpeming who are still in the dark, as well as about 500 in Escanaba.
And the effort to clean up debris left over from the storm has closed two roads in Marquette.
The access road around Presque Isle and the road leading up to Mount Marquette have been closed to vehicle traffic since the early hours of this morning.
The city Department of Public Works says the two roads will remain closed until sometime early next week.
