The Detroit Tigers got another Cy Young worthy performance from starting pitcher Justin Verlander tonight, defeating the Twins 7-1.
Verlander went 7 2/3 innings, giving up 7 hits, 1 earned run, a walk, and stuck out 8 Twins batters, giving him 202 strikeouts on the season
Miguel Cabrera had 2 RBI\’s on the night for the Tigers.
With the win, Verlander picked up win #18 on the season. He has also won his last 6 starts.
The Tigers and Twins will square off tomorrow night in the rubber match of the 3-game series.
