Former Detroit Lion Still in Hospital

Former Detroit lions quarterback Joey Harrington is still in a Portland Oregon hospital recovering from a car– bike collision.
Harrington was riding his bike near his Portland home Sunday evening when a SUV got to close to Harrington, hitting his back tire and sending him to the ground.
Harrington has spent the last two nights in ICU care.
He is being treated for a broken collarbone, a punctured lung, and a laceration on his head.
Today, Harrington’s dad, John, said none of Joey’s injuries are life threatening.
His dad also said that Harrington was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, which may have saved his life.
Harrington was the 3rd overall pick to the Lions back in 2002. He played 4 seasons with Detroit before being traded to the Miami dolphins.
