ORV Driver Arrested After Police Chase
An Ishpeming man riding an ORV is arrested over the weekend after leading police on a chase.
It happened early Sunday morning, when Michigan State Police attempted to pull the driver over for improper lane use and traveling on the roadway.
The driver, a 31-year-old Ishpeming man, led troopers from County Road 581 to County Road PPV/CD and then to lawer road.
In an attempt to flee the officers, the man took off down a private drive where the ORV struck a tree.
No one was hurt in the crash, and the man was arrested for fleeing and eluding as well as operating while intoxicated.
