Lions Expected to Re-Sign Drew Stanton

As the Packers were busy re-signing players, so were the Lions.
Backup quarterback Drew Stanton is set to re–sign with Detroit.
The former Michigan State quarterback has been with the Lions since they drafted him in the second round in 2007.
He started three games last season because of injuries to Matthew Stafford and Shaun hill.
A source who spoke to Stanton last night says Stanton is set to re–sign with the Lions once teams are allowed to sign veteran free agents.
Stanton is an unrestricted free agent.
Teams can talk to veteran free agents but can\’t sign them until tomorrow.
However, teams are now allowed to waive or cut players.
The Lions are set to release wide receiver Bryant Johnson, according to Johnson\’s agent.
