MI Gas Prices Fall 17 Cents in a Week

Gas prices across the country and in Michigan have nearly fallen back to the $3.50 mark.

The national average is $3.56 a gallon this week, an 8-cent drop from last week.

AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average for regular gas is down to $3.55 a gallon.

That’s a 17-cent change from last week.

The lowest gas prices in the state are in the Lansing area, where gas is $3.41 for regular self–serve fuel.

As they usually are, the highest gas prices in the survey are in the Marquette area at $3.62.

However, those figures were as of the overnight hours this morning.

By the afternoon, most gas stations in the Marquette area were selling a gallon of regular at about $3.56.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 gas stations in the state daily.
