M-553 Glasses Curve Accident
The ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign may have saved the life of a Marquette woman today who was in a single vehicle rollover accident.
It happened near Glasses Curve on M–553 shortly before 10 this morning.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Diane Ragusett was northbound on 553 when she lost control of the vehicle.
She ran off the right side of the road, down a ditch and hit several trees before the vehicle rolled over and landed on the roof.
She was able to escape through the driver’s door.
Ragusett was taken to Marquette General Hospital for a sore neck.
Neither speed nor alcohol is a factor in the crash.
Local, state and national law enforcement agencies are conducting stepped-up seat belt patrols through June 5th.
