Gas Prices Spiraling Up Again

The average price for gas continues to go up.

Nationally, the average price for unleaded self–serve fuel is $3.95.

That’s up a penny from yesterday and up 9 cents from a week ago.

AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average for regular unleaded gas is up to $4.15 to a gallon.

That’s an 18-cent increase from last week.

The lowest gas prices in the state are in Lansing at $4.13.

The highest gas prices are in the Marquette area at $4.19.

And, as is often the case, the price has increased since this morning’s AAA report.

Many stations in the central U.P. were selling gas this afternoon at $4.27.

AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 gas stations in the state daily.
