No Contest Plea to Wal-Mart Flare Gun Attack

An Iron Mountain man is in jail awaiting sentencing after pleading no contest to firing a flare gun at Wal–Mart.

28–year–old Andrew Olson did that back on September 19th.

At around 4:30 in the morning, he pointed a flare gun at several employees, fled the building, and then shot a flare at a store manager who followed him outside.

Olson missed and no one was hurt.

Police caught him after a short foot chase.

Olson pleaded no contest to felonious assault and discharging a weapon in or at a building.

He’ll be sentenced on February 14th.
