Fire Destroys Marquette House

A morning fire in Marquette injures one firefighter and destroys a home.

It started at 8 Specker Circle shortly before 11:30 this morning.

Firefighters found the home fully engulfed in flames.

It took them about an hour to put out the blaze, but the house was totaled.

One firefighter was taken to Marquette General for treatment of smoke inhalation.

He was later released.

The residents got out of the house safely.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation tonight, but it’s believed to have started in the garage.
