MI Gas Prices Up 8 Cents

Gas prices in Michigan are continuing to climb, even with the busy driving season heading into the rear-view mirror with Labor Day today.

AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average for regular unleaded gas is up to $2.78 a gallon.

That’s almost an 8-cent change from last week and more than 24 cents more than what it cost this time last year.

The lowest gas prices in the state are in the Flint area.

On average, a gallon of regular self-serve gas will set you back $2.76.

The highest gas prices are in the Ann Arbor area, where a gallon is $2.81.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 gas stations in the state daily.
