Attempted Murder Charges from Weekend Shooting

A U.P. man faces attempted murder charges in a weekend domestic violence incident.

The man is being held in Outagamie County, Wisconsin until his extradition back to Michigan is finalized.

State Police from the Iron River Post responded to a 911 call of shots fired in Iron River Township Saturday night.

When troopers arrived at the scene, the suspect was gone.

They say both the suspect and a victim had minor injuries from the incident.

The suspect was arrested early Sunday morning in Wisconsin.

His name won’t be released until he’s arraigned.

The extradition hearing in Wisconsin may take place later this week.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
