4 Dead in Mackinac County Plane Crash
A plane crash on I–75 in Mackinac County kills a Chicago-area man and three of his teenage granddaughters.
A 13–year–old grandson was the only survivor.
The boy is hospitalized tonight downstate in critical condition.
Police say it happened at about 5 last night.
The twin-engine plane encountered trouble shortly after takeoff, crashed on the highway and flipped over.
The 73-year-old pilot had about 30 years of experience.
