Negaunee Woman Charged After Wreck
A Negaunee woman faces up to 5 years in prison for drinking and driving.
23-year-old Krista Pietila is charged with two counts of operating under the influence causing incapacitating injury.
Troopers arreseted Pietila and lodged her at the Marquette County Jail.
She’s being held there on $7,500 bond on each count.
The charges each carry a possible penalty of 5 years behind bars, a $1,000 to $5,000 fine and driver’s license sanctions.
Pietila was involved in a traffic crash on Grove Street near Vandenboom Road on Monday.
The head-on crash resulted in serious injury to 17-year-old Taylor Crandall and 17-year-old Brandon Kittle, both of downstate Carson City.
They were taken to Marquette General and were both still in serious condition yesterday.
One of them is still being treated, but due to a privacy request, the name of which one is not available.
