Line Electrician Students Training
If you live in Houghton and you see people later this month who look like they’re working on your power lines for days on end, there’s nothing wrong with the lines.
UPPCO and Wisconsin Public Service will be training 8 student line electricians in the field from next Monday through July 30th.
That’ll be happening on Paradise Road, between Superior Road and Pilgrim Road.
Students, instructors and quite a few of UPPCO’s trucks will be in the training area from 7am to 4:30pm every day.
The company should have line trucks, aerial trucks and pickup trucks there.
UPPCO says they wanted to get this out now in case anyone living in the area wonders what everyone is doing on the utility poles.
