Ramsay Murders Update
Police are still looking for answers after a double murder in Gogebic County over the 4th of July weekend.
It happened on Belmont Avenue in Ramsay, between Wakefield and Bessemer.
46-year-old Scott Udd and 52-year-old Jon Lund were shot to death at Udd’s house Saturday morning.
There’s now a makeshift memorial outside the home, including a UPS uniform in memory of Udd, who had been a UPS delivery driver.
Det. Sgt. Ken Walker of the Wakefield Post says they’re searching the surrounding woods, since they believe Steven Dianich is still in or near Ramsay.
Dianich’s girlfriend joined the two men at the house for a while.
Police believe Dianich shot both men after she left.
They say the shootings most likely happened sometime between 3:30 and 5am Central time that morning.
The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department, the prison in Marenisco and the State Police Forensic Lab in Marquette are all helping in the case.
