Marquette Has MI’s Cheapest Gas
As they often do right before major travel holidays, gas prices are on the rise in Michigan.
But it comes with a surprise for many of us in the U.P.
AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average for a gallon of regular self-serve fuel is up 4.6 cents from last week.
It’s up 21 cents from what it cost at this point last year.
Out of the areas that AAA surveys, the Marquette area is usually the priciest in the state.
But this time, it actually has the least expensive fuel — $2.79 per gallon.
The highest prices are in Ann Arbor, Benton Harbor and Grand Rapids at $2.86 for all of them.
