Gas Prices Up Nearly a Dime
We’ve seen gas prices jump almost a dime in the last week, just in time to affect anyone driving a long way for the 4th of July.
Michigan motorists will pay 9.3 cents more for gas this week according to AAA Michigan.
The current statewide average is $2.80.
That’s 4.4 cents per gallon more than last year at this time.
The cheapest gas in the state is in the Saginaw/Bay City area, where it’s $2.74 per gallon.
The highest prices are actually not in the Marquette area for a change.
In Ann Arbor, it’s $2.84.
In the Marquette area, a gallon of self-serve regular gas is an average of $2.83.
AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 gas stations across the state every day.
