Gas prices are continuing to slide as summer moves into full swing — good news for travelers.
AAA Michigan says the current statewide average for regular unleaded is down to $2.70 a gallon.
That’s 3.4 cents lower than last week and more than 13 cents less than what it cost this time last year.
The lowest prices in the state are in the Saginaw and Bay City areas.
There, drivers are paying an average of 13 cents less than they did last week, at $2.57 for a gallon for regular self-serve.
As they often are, the highest prices among the areas AAA surveys are in Marquette.
It’s $2.75, down more than four cents from last week.
