Gas Prices Up More than a Nickel
One of the things riding a bike helps you save is certainly gas money.
Gas prices are edging back up.
AAA Michigan says gas prices across the state are up 5.4 cents per gallon over the past week.
That brings the statewide average to $2.74 for a gallon of self-serve regular gas.
The auto club says the statewide average is 19.5 cents cents per gallon less than last year at this time.
AAA Michigan says the cheapest price for self–serve regular fuel is in the Saginaw/Bay City and Benton Harbor areas, where it’s $2.71 a gallon.
As it often is, the highest average among the areas AAA measures is Marquette at $2.79.
2,800 gas stations are part of the survey.
