Bike to Work Pit Stop

An appreciation for the backwoods of the U.P. is a big factor in many outdoor activities, including the hiking and biking trails.

As part of the annual Bike to Work Week, many commuters traded the gas pedals in their cars for the pedals on a bicycle.

Some bicycle commuters only have a few miles to cover between home and work.

But for others, it’s a long haul.

To help them out, the Marquette County Health Department and Border Grill restaurants hosted a Bike to Work Pit Stop.

They were out in force at the Marquette Mall, which until last year used to be the home of all of us here at ABC 10.

The Bike to Work Pit Stop is one of many events throughout the week you can take part in.

For more information, you can visit the Health Department online here.

You’ll find information on biking events that include the Uncommon Bike Tour, the Marquette City Police Bike Rodeo and Marquette County Bike-Ability.
