Vulcan Man Arraigned for Assault
A Dickinson County man is free on bond tonight after a weekend incident involving a rifle.
State Police from the Stephenson Post arrested 51-year-old Dennis Greenleaf of Vulcan on felonious assault charges.
The charges stem from an incident Sunday involving two fishermen.
The two men told police they were fishing in a stream in the Faithorn area of Menominee County when they had an altercation with a female subject.
As they were trying to get an exact location to report to police, they were approached by a male suspect who came out of a nearby house with a rifle and pointed it at the fishermen.
Greenleaf was identified as the man with the rifle.
He was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Iron Mountain and is free on bond.
