NMU Increases Room & Board Rates

Northern Michigan University students will have to pay a bit more for room and board this fall.

NMU’s Board of Trustees approved the higher rate today.

A standard double-occupancy room, with what the school calls the constant meal pass option, will cost $7,822 this fall.

That’s $176 more than it cost this year.

The board also approved continuing the general fund budget until state higher education spending is finalized.

It won’t be any more money than the current level with one exception.

It’ll have some increases that union contracts with school employees require the school to have.
