Fatal Schoolcraft County ATV Crash
A Schoolcraft County man is dead after a weekend ATV accident.
State Police from the Manistique Post say it happened shortly before 4:30 Saturday afternoon on the Manistique River Road in Doyle Township.
49-year-old Lindsley Frenette of Gulliver lost control of his machine during an annual ride with friends.
Police say he ran off the road and hit a tree.
When troopers got to the scene, ambulance personnel told them that Frenette was already dead.
Alcohol use and excessive speed are both believed to be factors in the crash.
