Manistique Woman Seriously Hurt in Assault

A Manistique woman is in serious condition tonight after what police think was a domestic assault over the weekend.

Manistique Public Safety says it happened at 161 River Street sometime between 5am and 5:30am yesterday.

They say they found 33-year-old Jodie Terrian badly hurt and took her to Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital.

She’s since been transferred to Marquette General.

Public Safety arrested a 41-year-old man for assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder.

That offense is also sometimes called felonious assault.

The man’s name hasn’t been released.

He’s in the Schoolcraft County Jail.

Officers also seized evidence from the home.

Police say the evidence may lead the prosecutor to file additional charges.
