A drug bust in Escanaba gets thousands of dollars worth of drugs off the street.
The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, the Delta County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit and Escanaba Public Safety carried out the raid last night.
It took place at a home on South 17th Street.
They say they seized a large amount of marijuana, 15 grams of heroin and a small amount of powder cocaine.
All the drugs were packaged for re-sale, and they were worth about $8,000 on the street.
Officers also found a large amount of cash.
They arrested 3 young men from the Detroit area as suspects and brought them to the Delta County Jail.
Police say they also plan to obtain arrest warrants for other suspects that they believe were involved.
