Meth Lab Found in Apartment Building

A Marquette apartment building is evacuated after police find a methamphetamine lab in it.

That’s according to the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

UPSET says it happened at the Preserve at Orianna Ridge, which is off of Pioneer Road in Marquette.

A month-long investigation, and a traffic stop last night, led to the search warrant and drug bust.

They evacuated everyone from the 1955 building after finding the meth lab there.

UPSET says they found dangerous chemicals and dirty needles throughout the apartment that had the lab.

They say some of the chemicals were in a children’s bedroom under the kids’ bed.

Arrest warrants are pending on several suspects.

The evacuation lasted into the early hours of this morning.
