Governor Candidate Hosts Super Bowl Party
One of the Republican candidates for governor visits the Marquette area and introduces himself to the area at a Super Bowl party.
Rick Snyder was on hand last night at Wings-n-Things in Marquette Township, inside of Superior Lanes.
Snyder is a former president of Gateway Computer whose Super Bowl ad depicts him as ‘one tough nerd’.
What he calls his Road Map to Re-Invent Michigan includes eliminating the Michigan Business Tax and changing the state’s regulatory climate.
Snyder says he’s heard many people in the U.P. tell him they’re hamstrung by over-regulation of their business activities.
He also says he would do a better job of connecting U.P. entrepreneurs with capital investment, saying there’s plenty of talent here to create startup companies.
Snyder hosted a breakfast at the Marquette Holiday Inn this morning before going on a snowmobile jaunt to Escanaba.
He says if you want to know more about him or his campaign, you can go online to www.rickformichigan.com .
